Deby Cann "Celebrating Creative Friendships" 

Deby’s inclusive collage practice works with the fragments of cultural memory: vintage books, magazines, sewing patterns, text and found imagery. Drawing on experience, intuition and a feminist lens, Deby’s work questions inherited narratives, disrupts patriarchal assumptions and reframes the stereotypes that shape how gender is seen, taught and remembered.

Recent collaborations with creative friends have extended this practice into album cover artwork and animated short film work. Emerging from shared ideas, conversation and collaboration, these works reflect Deby’s interest in connection, transformation and the creative possibilities that arise when inner voices are made visible.
