Divide by Zero
A group exhibition exploring where Art meets Maths
Inner West Creative Network in partnership with Sydney Street Gallery
Curated by Sara Buchner
What happens when the rules break down? When logic loops, systems collapse, and the impossible becomes a starting point?
Divide by Zero is this year’s bold provocation — an annual group exhibition inviting artists to explore the fertile space where art and mathematics intersect. Inspired by the ultimate mathematical taboo, the show leans into paradox, disruption, and the beauty of unanswered questions.
Open to artists of all backgrounds and mediums, the exhibition celebrates experimentation, risk-taking, and cross-disciplinary play. From precise systems to glorious chaos, each work responds to the tension between structure and the unknown — where certainty dissolves and new possibilities emerge.
Born from the ongoing collaboration between Inner West Creative Network and Sydney Street Gallery, the exhibition reflects what makes the Inner West distinct: community, curiosity, and creative exchange. Local artists come together to test ideas, challenge boundaries, and transform a neighbourhood gallery into a space where art, maths, and imagination collide.
Exhibition runs 1-14 June 2026
