From Vision to Action: Creative Business Planning

A business or strategic plan is a powerful tool to clarify where you’re heading, why it matters, and how you’ll actually get there.

Whether you’re just starting out, an experienced practitioner, or a small arts organisation punching above your weight, this friendly and practical session reframes the planning process in a way that makes sense for creative thinkers. The focus is on real-world action plans that shape living, working documents — not paperwork that gathers dust.

During the evening, we’ll explore:

  • Understanding the planning process and the different types of plans
  • Breaking down the “traditional” business and strategic plan — and which sections really matter
  • Clarifying your vision, mission and values (and why they’re essential)
  • Choosing the right template for your goals
  • Balancing professional planning with a busy creative practice and personal life

Participants will receive practical tools and templates for a range of business and strategic plans, including formats suited to Creative Australia funding applications and other financing pathways.

Join us to build a plan that takes the headache and anxiety out of getting started — and gives you a clear, confident path forward.
