Public Apology – Correction to Terms & Conditions

The Inner West Creative Network sincerely apologises for an error in the published Terms & Conditions of our 2025 Merchandise Design Competition.
The wording around Usage Rights was incorrect and may have caused concern. We had not been clear that the usage rights apply only to the selected artist’s work, not to all entrants.

To be clear:

• All entrants retain full copyright of their work.
• Only the selected artwork will be licensed for use by IWCN, and solely for the purposes of merchandise and promotional activities related to the 2025–2026 competition.
• No rights are sought or held over any non-selected submissions.

We deeply regret the oversight and any offence or confusion it may have caused. We value and respect the creative rights of all artists and remain committed to supporting fair and transparent practices.

The Terms & Conditions have now been updated to accurately reflect this. Thank you to our community for holding us accountable and helping us ensure that artists’ voices and rights remain at the centre of everything we do.
